Santorini, Greece

Santorini, Greece · September, 2017

Stop number three of the cruise was the island of Santorini… and boy was it worth the wait. Santorini was absolutely breathtaking. Our day started with a ride up the cable car to Fira (so nerve-racking) and ended with the most horrifying walk ever down the zig-zagging 600 step donkey path along the side of a cliff… but all of the stops in between were unbelievable. Our new cruise friends, Rez and Landon, joined Ryan and me for a day of adventure with Santorini’s greatest tour guide, Kostas. Kostas planned a perfect day for us… the blue dome of Firostefani, Oia for shopping and exploring, wine tasting at Venetsanos Winery, and the Monastery of Profitis Ilias. Santorini was simply stunning and every single view looked like a real life postcard. There’s no doubt in my mind that we’ll be back someday… but we won’t be taking the stairs. 😉
