Athens, Greece

Athens, Greece · September, 2017

Our second stop of the cruise was to beautiful Athens, Greece. History was literally ALL around us and my history buff hubby loved every minute of it. We had no set plans or tours booked for our day in Athens, so we found a friendly taxi driver who became our own personal guide for the day. He drove us around Athens and made sure we saw all of the most important places and things – the Colosseum, the Olympic Stadium, the changing of the guards, and the Plaka (street market) before dropping us for lunch at a “local favorite” right on the water. Thank you Athens for sharing your beauty and history with us… we absolutely loved it!
