Rome, Italy

After our honeymoon in Ireland, my husband and I knew we wanted to spend more time in Europe. With my love for wine and his Italian heritage, Italy was a no brainer. We wanted to make the most of our time and see as much as we possibly could, so we decided on a Mediterranean cruise through Norwegian Cruise Line and we couldn’t have loved it more.

The cruise began and ended in Rome, so we chose to spend an extra day and night before and after to explore the city, and it did not disappoint. Even through a stormy final day, we still were able to see so much of Rome. From making a wish in the Trevi Fountain to having dinner in a rooftop restaurant across from the Colosseum to strolling the quaint streets of Trastevere (and drinking plenty of wine, of course), we truly loved our time in Rome. And as legend has it, thanks to our wishes being tossed into the Trevi Fountain, we’ll return to Rome again… someday.
